Carlos started Las Cruces Concrete Company in 2021 after spending several years working on concrete crews throughout Doña Ana County. Las Cruces was growing — new subdivisions on the east mesa, infill projects near New Mexico State University, and commercial work along the US-70 corridor — and the contractors he saw most often were sending crews from out of town, charging travel premiums, and scheduling jobs weeks out. He thought there was a better way to serve homeowners who live and work in the Mesilla Valley.

The business started with residential driveways and patios in established Las Cruces neighborhoods. Word spread to foundation work, retaining walls, and commercial parking lots. Today Las Cruces Concrete Company handles 16 concrete services across 12 cities from the Organ Mountains to the Franklin Mountains, with the same crew-quality standard on a small residential pour as on a large commercial slab.
